Inchworm in the Wide World

It’s finally time for Inchworm to have an adventure! It’s going very well until suddenly it isn’t, and Inchworm is hopelessly lost. Scared and alone, Inchworm is surprised to discover how much he longs for the home he was so eager to leave. 

 

Inchworm in the Wide World, a 478-word picture book, will appeal to children ages 2-6, who will relate to his experience of feeling small in a vast world. Inchworm combines the spirit and curiosity of The Runaway Bunny with the bravado of Sheila Rae, The Brave, and the strong sense of home and family that both stories inspire.

I’m particularly experienced to write this story because, at just over five feet tall, I am also tiny in this vast world, and like Inchworm, I don’t have much of a sense of direction.
